SR 826/PALMETTO EXPRESSWAY FROM US-1 TO SR 836 / MANAGED LANES PD&E (FDOT D6)

Responsible for providing traffic operational and safety analyses for the PD&E Study to evaluate alternatives for the widening of the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826), a limited access facility, for the inclusion of express lanes along the corridor. The operational support included AM and PM peak periods for Existing Conditions, No-Build Conditions, and Build Conditions. No-Build and Build conditions included Opening Year 2025 and Design Year 2045. Build Conditions included the identification of feasible improvements along the arterials to accommodate future traffic conditions with the SR 826 express lanes. The safety support included the summary and analysis for the five most recent years along the SR 826 mainline, interchanges, and cross streets within the area of influence. Crash patterns and probable contributing causes were identified for all study roadways.
