Congratulations are in place to Erik Echezabal, MSCE, PE! Erik joined Choice Engineering in July 2016 and has mastered the art of working hard and making the most out his time and effort, while enjoying a great family life. His hard work, relentless dedication, and unmatched skills has earned him a well-deserved promotion as the new TSM&O Program Manager. Erik has over 8 years of transportation engineering experience, including ITS, TSM&O initiatives, minor roadway design, maintenance of traffic, signing and pavement marking, signal retiming, signal inspection, signal controller bench testing and troubleshooting, traffic operations / safety analysis, signal warrant studies, ITS design, and traffic signalization plans development.
Erik gained significant and important arterial management experience through his work on various TSM&O retiming contracts such as active arterial and work zone management projects. Erik has retimed nearly 700 traffic signals in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties and has hands-on experience with intersection and corridor level optimization. He is also one of the authors of the Arterial Management Plan for the FDOT District 6 TSM&O unit.
